A monthly concert series presented by the Carl
Sandburg Historic Site Association in the
"Barn" at Carl Sandburg's Birthplace, in an
intimate smoke-free and alcohol-free environment,
showcasing acoustic music in the traditional and
folk style. 313 E 3rd Street, Galesburg IL,
(309) 342-2361. The concerts are free and open
to the public, however a $5.00 donation is
greatly appreciated. All shows start at
2:00pm, normally on the Second Sunday of the
month. |

John Daniel Lane
Hailing from western Illinois, Lane
has sampled a variety of music styles.
During his journey as an artist, he
has collected a variety of songs and
tunes such as old-time dance fiddling,
lonesome bluegrass, and seafaring
ballads. Playing a style once labeled
as "raw baroque Midwest square-dance
jams," his set will feature
traditional music and original songs
on both guitar and fiddle. Lane's
performance will take the listener on
a journey through place and time,
delivering a heartfelt performance of
timeless songs and the stories that
surround them.

Lojo Russo
LoThe Songbag Concert series continues
with Lojo Russo! Using her raw energy,
Lojo Russo moves from sweet folk to
roots rock without missing a beat. On
stage she combines her sense of music
with her sense of humor. Sometimes
outrageous, sometimes intense, always
original, this is one show you do not
want to miss. She's a one woman show
that shows you only need one woman.
The first set starts at 2:00 p.m. and the second set starts at 3:15 p.m.

Nathan Cowan
The Songbag Concert Series continues with Nathan
Cowan! Hailing from Galesburg, Nathan is a
singer/songwriter who performs on guitar.
Formerly of Harvest Sons and The Dirty Loew,
Nathan has recently embarked on a solo career.
His set will feature original songs along with
tunes by other artists.
The first set starts at 2:00 p.m. and the second
set starts at 3:15 p.m. Refreshments available
between sets.

Barry Cloyd
The Songbag Concert Series continues with
Barry Cloyd! Barry Cloyd is a Midwestern
based, touring
singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist,
perform-ing over 200 shows per year, who
has spent a lifetime creating a
performance style that weaves the genres
of Blues, Folk, Celtic, Original and Roots
music into a unique blend all his own. A
strong vocalist and multi-instrumentalist
as well as a storyteller, theatrical
performer and historian, Barry delivers
his music on a multitude of guitars (6 &
12 string, Dobro, high-strung, etc.) and
other stringed instruments, such as
5-string banjo, mandolin, requinto and
bouzouki.
The first set starts at 2:00 p.m. and the
second set starts at 3:15 p.m.

Jera as they return to the Songbag Concert
Series! The talented duo presents an eclectic

Devin & Scott E
The Songbag Concert
series continues with Devin and Scott E!
Performing around Central Illinois for more
than a decade, Devin Flanagin covers a variety
of styles and periods of music. American folk,
blues, rock, pop, and jazz selections are a
few of the styles he combines into his normal
performances. Scott “Gunner” Eberhard has
written and played music for 14 years. A
multi-instrumentalist, his sound uses a style
of rock n roll, folk, rhythm and blues and
groove creating a sound reminiscent of the
beach, sunshine, and summer fun. These two
talented artists will combine their unique
sounds into one for this special performance!
The first set starts at 2:00 p.m. and the second
set starts at 3:15 p.m. Refreshments available

Tom Irwin
The Songbag Concert series continues with
Tom Irwin! A musical artist for over 35
years, Tom is known as one of the most
popular singer-songwriter-guitarists in
Central Illinois. Irwin is known as a
presenter of traditional folk and country
tunes. You might laugh and cry, chuckle and
squirm, tap your foot and nod your head, but
you won't ignore or walk away untouched by
this talented teller of stories through
words and music!
The first set starts at 2:00 p.m. and the second
set starts at 3:15 p.m. Refreshments available

Mark
Dvorak
The Songbag Concert series continues with Mark
Dvorak! Labeled a modern-day troubadour, Mark
has never stopped performing, writing, and
recording music. Dvorak has given concerts in
almost all of the United States and made visits
to Finland, Canada and Ireland. To date he has
released twenty albums of traditional and
original music including 2020's Let Love Go On
and 2023's Live & Alone recorded during the
great pandemic. Featuring a mix of traditional
and original songs, elements of blues, picking
on the banjo, and even references to Carl
Sandburg's writings, this show is sure to have a
little bit of something for everyone!

Dance Hall Doves
Enjoy an afternoon of music with the Dance Hall
Doves! The duo of Erin Glasnovich and Corie
"Cow" Weisenberger feature a mix of bluegrass,
folk, rock, oldies, and original tunes. |
We are grateful to Erin Glasnovich and the CSHSA
Songbag Committee for coordinating the Songbag Concert
Series this year for the Association.
A donation of $5.00 per
person is suggested as the door (or gate)
entry fee. These door receipts go to the
Songbag Concert performers to supplement a base
amount paid by the Carl Sandburg Historic Site
Association. If you enjoy the concert,
please be generous in support of our performers.
Songbag Concert Series performers and
refreshment costs are underwritten by the Carl
Sandburg Historic Site Association and its
members at a cost of approximately $2,500 per
